WHAT IS IMPERIAL BIRD'S NEST?

80% of the collected bird's nests are unqualified due to their quality. Only 20% of them can be cleaned using handpicked method.

Out of the 20%, only 6% of the bird's nests are heavier than 6 grams, with higher nutritious, fermented and excellent tasting. These bird's nests were the supplements that tribute to the Emperor in 15th century.

THE ORIGIN OF BIRD'S NEST

In the 15th Century, Ming Dynasty Voyager, Cheng Ho encountered a violent storm during his voyage to Western.

Due to the insufficient of food, Cheng Ho decided to cook bird’s nest to alleviate one’s hunger. He then discovered that bird’s nest has the function of increasing energy and improving complexion. Thus, he collected the bird’s nest and tribute it to the Emperor.

Ever since, bird’s nest had become the imperial supplement that everyone loves.

Approximately 80% of all natural bird's nests harvested from caves are poor quality. Only 20% of natural bird's nests can be sold as they are already clean enough to be hand-picked for impurities. Among the 20% of the bird's nests harvested, only 6% of the bird's nests are heavier than 12 grams. They are rich in nutrients, smooth and chewy texture, with a consistency similar to egg white when cooked.

KING BIRD'S NEST

Among all the selected handpicked authentic bird's nests, only those weightage over 9 grams are classified as King Bird's Nest. Only small number of swiftlets are able to produce such large amounts of saliva to make their nests.
